We are excited to add a certified Graston Technique® provider to our clinic! Graston technique is an innovative, patented form of instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization used for treating soft tissue injuries or restrictions. The clinician uses six specially designed instruments to search for, and effectively break down scar tissue, fascial restrictions, soft tissue fibrosis, increase healing speed of sports injuries, loosen tight muscles, and more.
The Graston Technique® (GT) Instruments have been clinically proven to achieve better and faster results in treating both acute and chronic conditions, including but not limited to:
Cervical sprain/strain (neck pain)
Lumbar sprain/strain (back pain)
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (wrist pain)
Plantar Fasciitis (foot pain)
Lateral Epicondylitis (tennis elbow)
Medial Epicondylitis (golfer's elbow)
Rotator Cuff Tendinosis (shoulder pain)
Patellofemoral Disorders (knee pain)
Achilles Tendinosis (ankle pain)
Since the fat pads of the fingers cannot compress tissue as well as the metal surface of the instruments do, the instruments help the clinician isolate adhesions and restrictions, and treat them very specifically and efficiently. The concave/convex edges of the instruments allow the clinician to form the instruments to various contours of the body which allows for ease of treatment, minimal stress to the clinician's hands, maximum tissue penetration and effective healing.
